The Naab (Fichtelnaab) is 42 kilometers long. Its origin lies at the southern foot of the Ochsenkopf, where numerous rivulets flow together and unite with the captured Naab spring. The Fichtelnaabquelle is 867 meters above sea level in a high forest. The source is about 800 meters southeast of the Weißmainquelle. There is a shelter next to the Fichtelnaabquelle.

Access to the Asenturm is free and definitely worth it. From here you have a wonderful view far into the Fichtelgebirge.
