The former moated castle passed from the local nobility to the Lords of Bebenburg around 1100. After several destructions, the castle later became the official residence of the Rothenburg bailiffs.

The "Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity Hohenkressberg" belongs to Marktlustenau, a district of Kreßberg in the district of Schwäbisch Hall, Baden-Württemberg.

The two moats around the castle are still clearly visible. The building is kept very simple. From this it can be concluded that the nobility and owners of that time were not very rich. Feuchtwangen (Franconian Feichtwang) is a town in the Ansbach district of Middle Franconia. With over 12,000 inhabitants and 137 km², it is the largest municipality in the district in terms of population and area, and the second largest municipality in Middle Franconia in terms of area after Nuremberg, and is located directly on the Romantic Road. The town is really beautiful and much less crowded than other places on the Romantic Road.
