By far the best of the three castle ruins. It even has a small spiral staircase. Benches are set up on the ruins' plateau.

The ruins have been well restored and are integrated into the youth hostel building. Next to the courtyard is a large playground with a remarkable old plane tree. In front of it, across the street, is the Rabeneck Restaurant with a beer garden and guest rooms.

There's not even a hint of a castle here. Apart from the information board, nothing remains.

Hoheneck Castle is the remains of a hilltop castle on the Hämmerlesberg near the Dillweißenstein district of the city of Pforzheim in Baden-Württemberg. The castle, mentioned in 1237, was owned by Nix von Hoheneck. The former castle complex still shows small remains of the keep's foundations.
