An old, beautifully preserved train station building.

The Berggasthof Kreuzhaus is located in the middle of the Bavarian Forest and is therefore a great place to stop for a hike. You can stop here all year round. If you want, you can even stay overnight in the Kreuzhaus. There is a holiday apartment and four double rooms available. You can find more information at https://kreuzhaus-haibach.de/.

Unfortunately, we didn't find a beer garden that was open on our tour. We were very lucky at the outdoor pool. It was really cozy at Steffi's and we received a very warm welcome. Great food and drinks. Everything lovingly prepared. A perfect stopover where you immediately feel at home.

Nice service and, for a swimming pool kiosk, an unusually good selection of food and drinks. Next to the terrace, there is a small "mini beer garden" where we could eat and relax under a tree. It was definitely worth the detour!

Friendly service. Reasonably priced, tasty and large portions with plenty of choice at my stop today.
