The Nanshi River rises in the mountains of Wulai District and, after 45 kilometers, joins the Beishi River to form the Xindian River.

The water plunges a full 80 meters here, offering a magnificent natural spectacle. Also called the "Waterfall in the Clouds," during the rainy season, the Wulai Waterfall splits into two streams that cascade into the valley below. From the road, you have an unobstructed view of the waterfall. If you want to enjoy a different perspective, you can take the gondola up.

If you like it hectic and want to be among what feels like 1,000 other tourists and are happy to pay an entrance fee, then this is the place for you. If you like a nicer view and want to enjoy the view with a few people during the day or at night, you should walk a bit along Lugard road and take in the views. The most beautiful option is to go around the peak via Lugard and Harlech road with stops in the evening before and after the walk after sunset :-))) https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/53010158

The Peak is of course part of the must-do in Hong Kong. When the weather is good, the viewing platform offers brilliant viewing angles. If the weather is rather moderate, you can save the HKD75. The viewing platform in the shopping center right next door and the views on the circular route are a good and free alternative!

The Peak is recommended to visit even though it is very touristy at the top. Instead of taking the train you can walk down or up. The path is sometimes very steep so you have to take that into account. The path meanders past residential buildings and green areas.

Wonderful and easy walk around The Peak. The path is paved and basically without any elevation changes. You can choose to just walk in and back a couple hundred meters to enjoy some of the amazing views onto Hong Kong and Kowloon. Or walk all the way around on Lugard Road and Harlech Road. Takes about one hour.

It is a good idea to carry trekking poles. Be aware that the forest trails are slippery, and it is also important to replenish moisture and energy. The outlook of Notre Dame is worth the price!

It's so interesting but strange that this Lugard Falls is not located in Lugard Road. You can find it in Harlech Road, just a few minutes walk from the Peak Tower. It's worth to have a look after rainy day.
