The Kemmlitz is a seven-kilometer-long stream that flows through the villages of Burkersdorf, Schlegel and Hirschfelde. It rises on the western slope of the Buchberg in the Oberwald, later flows through several ponds in Schlegel and unites with the Dittelsdorfer Wasser in the Kemmlitztal. About a kilometer further on, the Kemmlitz flows into the Lausitzer Neisse near Rosenthal.
