The approximately 758 hectare "Alte-Sorge-Schleife" nature reserve is characterized by the course of the Alte Sorge river, species-rich wet meadows and the Colsrakmoor. The Colsrakmoor was greatly changed in the past by drainage, peat extraction and conversion to grassland.
