This is a beautiful and striking church, set in beautiful grounds. It is unsurprising that it's Grade I listed. The church dates back to the Norman times. The semicircular apse has early 13th century wall paintings. The nave inside the church is aisleless, giving a very impressive view of the choir and the sanctuary.

There are wonderful views towards the south from the northern end of this segment (on the Chiltern Way long-distance trail) - the track drops to Well Place Road to the rise again on the other side of the valley. You also have the gentle Warren Hill rising up the grassy pasture slops to the east as you walk the track. A beautiful place.

Greak for bikers - there are two green posts outside with tools a decent pump and a charging point for eBikes (an outdoor socket so need to bring your own charger).

A huge herd of longhorns, rarely see these in the uk.

A half-mark pit-stop at the beautiful and rustic Crooked Billett pub to wash down all the hard work. The pub offers modern and classic British cuisine as well as an excellent selection of beers and wine, all to be enjoyed with a backdrop of the wonderful rolling countryside.
