Villa Auguste in Malchow was built between 1902 and 1904 by leather manufacturer Julius Steinlein and named after his wife, Auguste. The building was modeled on urban villas of the time and features neoclassical elements, including two striking stained-glass windows with floral motifs in the entrance area. After Auguste Steinlein's death in 1947, the villa became the property of the city in 1958. In the following decades, it served a variety of purposes, initially as a clubhouse for workers and later as a youth center. Between 2014 and 2015, the building underwent extensive renovations. Its historical character was preserved while simultaneously being adapted to modern requirements. Today, the villa houses a day care center for the elderly. The garden area, with the fountain figure "Nereid with Putto," was also restored and completes the overall appearance of the building.

The cloth-making tradition was founded in the 16th century (source: Malchow cloth-makers' file from 1599) and increased from the 17th century at several locations in the town of Malchow. At the beginning of the 19th century, the locations and the complex cloth production - weaving, dyeing, processing - were significantly expanded. The former factory building of the cloth factory, the office buildings I + II and the wool warehouse including the property (3,600 sqm) on Mühlenstraße were built around 1843 as a "machine contracting company", operated as such until 1892 and then produced until 1945. The last owner and cloth-maker from 1930 was Mr. Gottfried Blank. Military and filter cloths were primarily woven from 1933 onwards. The last productive capacity was around 220,000 sqm of cloth / year. After 1945, the factory was expropriated and in 1947 all 46 looms were dismantled as reparations to the SU (Soviet Union). The company was then rebuilt as a VEB (People's Own Enterprise) and produced directly until 1980, then as part of the "VEB Teppichwerke Nord" in partial production until around 1990. The "Alte Tuchfabrik Malchow" is one of the last industrial buildings from around 1900 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Due to its excellent inner-city location, it is not only popular with the people of Malchow, but also an eye-catcher for all visitors to the small climatic health resort. Only visible in a few places when circumnavigating. A little in the north and then in the more touristy south (Göhren-Lebbin). But a beautiful, larger lake.

You can't go any further by bike here... Only pedestrians! You have to go around the outside, but that's not a problem

Schloss Lebbin is the manor house of the former Gutshof Lebbin in today's municipality of Göhren-Lebbin, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The original building, erected in 1842, was badly damaged by a fire in 1912, most of the remains were demolished and replaced by a more representative new building in the neo-baroque style. Today it houses the "Schlosshotel Fleesensee".
