The scenic backdrop formed by the Drau Glacier around Carinthia's sixth-largest lake is stunning. Café Sunseit'n is inconspicuously located in a small bay to the east, amidst a small belt of reeds. The fact that this is a truly wonderful place to stay was already known around 6,000 years ago, when a pile-dwelling settlement was built here during the Neolithic period. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.

Family friendliness is particularly important in the Keutschach valley. A particularly popular children's destination is the "Magic Forest Rauschelesee".

With the exception of the north bank, most parts of the lake and its catchment area are located in the Keutschacher Seental landscape protection area

Keutschacher See is located in Carinthia, south of Lake Wörthersee. With an area of 1.32 km², it is the sixth largest of Carinthia's lakes. In 1864, Ferdinand von Hochstetter discovered a Neolithic pile-dwelling settlement here, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.
