This high mountain of waste is always impressive.

There is now a new observation tower here.

The platform is back up. I think it's beautiful, two levels with a great view of the biotope. Definitely worth a stop. Edit: just saw Tobi's photos!

Many thanks to @Peter Löhr, who informed us via my MTB highlight https://www.komoot.com/de-de/highlight/3329681?ref=whd (which, strangely enough, is no longer shown in Komoot) that there was a fire incident at the viewing platform in 2023. The platform, rebuilt after a fire, is no longer quite as hidden, but there are still no seats. But you don't really need them, given the magnificent view of birds of prey and water birds in a beautiful landscape with two ponds and associated flora and fauna on two levels...
