A short detour into the field reveals the Wächs fountain. It's hard to believe that up to 160 liters of water flow from it per minute. Just 100 meters further, we see the stream that flows from it. We get another distant view over the fields to the mountains. Is the fountain the remains of the village of Wächs, which was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War? The St. Helena of Siebleben is an impressive church building that can be seen from afar.

The former water reservoir is a natural monument with its reed belt. There is a small jetty where you can walk a few meters out onto the lake and there is a circular hiking trail around the reservoir. Definitely a lovely destination.
