This cozy mountain hotel, located on the Rennsteig hiking trail in the Thuringian Forest, is just a 5-minute walk from Reinhardsbrunn-Friedrichroda train station and 1.6 km from Reinhardsbrunn Castle. The hotel itself offers plenty of leisure activities, including an outdoor pool, an indoor pool (with several 25-meter lanes, very well-maintained and clean), an outdoor playground, an indoor playground, table tennis, a cinema, and more.

At the end of the old bobsleigh run, the old bobsleigh and toboggan run of the Friedrichroda Bobsleigh and Toboggan Club 05 begins. Floodlights were installed here in 2008, and today (2025) the track looks as if it hasn't been used for 30 years. You can walk through it from above or below, and marvel at the curves with their steep walls.

The spa park is located in the picturesque town of Friedrichroda and is known for its diverse planting, including special tree species and numerous rhododendron bushes, which form a charming contrast to the natural tree population of the Thuringian Forest.

A covered rest area right by the pond, especially welcome in winter. 👌
