The Protestant branch church has been verifiably connected to Stadtroda since the 15th century. The elevated hall church with its mansard roof and roof tower can be seen from afar. This church was built in 1789/90 on the site of a medieval predecessor.

I was able to try the aronia spread, garlic sausage, and delicious vanilla ice cream from the ice cream factory, and it was all incredibly delicious. On some days, they also sell smoked fish outside. The monastery was the house monastery and burial place of the Lords of Lobdeburg, the founding family.
