It is the picturesque Wehrenteich, which is fed by the Wehrenbek. It is now a refuge for water birds and amphibians. It is completely surrounded by forest and is only accessible to visitors at this one point.

Take a spotting scope or binoculars with you

The tower is cleverly hidden. So you can observe animals without disturbing them. Here it should be the most interesting for the departure of the cranes.

I went the "way" yesterday. However, there is no longer any way! Especially when you come from the south, everything is overgrown. It is a shame that such a beautiful section can no longer be walked on one path.

The weir pond is located near Steinhorst in Schleswig-Holstein. Its extension is approx. 890 by 950 meters. It is not a bathing lake.
