Recommendation only conditionally. The path is paved from Bredenfelde onwards, with about a third being asphalt. However, both surfaces are in rather deplorable condition. Many uneven areas, potholes, etc. Barely suitable for leisurely driving.

We go to the museum in the old stables, the exhibition begins with horse breeding and keeping. This is followed by an insight into winemaking and wine pressing. With many exhibits around us, we also learn something about the art of weaving, with traditional costumes and shoemaking on display. In one room, the whole history of the castle, the town and the period surrounding it. Finally, a look at the Biedermeier period, we leave the exhibition, walk through the gate and leave the castle. Steep approach and descent to the castle. It's worth it, a place to stay. In an outbuilding, coffee and cake are offered in the castle garden, among other things. Self-service. Nicely decorated building, relaxed atmosphere, nice service, nice conversations about "old times"!👍 Free apples from the castle garden. Nice experience and highly recommended!
