In winter, with snow and ice, this marshland has a mystical quality; the beaver dam and the trees felled by beavers add to the atmosphere. The boardwalk without railings is quite an experience in ice and snow... think penguins! 😅 In my opinion, the circular path around Lake Madlitz is not suitable for people with mobility impairments! Also, watch out for holes in the ground.

Unfortunately, there is hardly anything in the ruins that reminds one of the former watermill.

Two entries from the Aalkasten lake, a few meters apart. Apparently, the first entry wasn't smooth enough.

This way, you can get through the swamp forest on dry feet. But accessibility is different.

It is simply impressive to see the mosaics of the burial site. On the south side of the church

The eel pit is a great place to walk around in autumn and winter. The nature around the lake is simply amazing.

Very stable bridge. The natural area is beautiful to look at.
