Here at the Sittenbach you have a great view over to the Michelsberg and the spot is also on the Fuchsauweg, a hiking trail for families with children.

The hiking car park and upper reservoir are completely closed until mid-2028 due to renovation of the reservoir!

8月 3, 2024, Fuchsau Ponds
Since 2006, the BN local group Hersbrucker Land has leased the ponds in Fuchsau, which were previously used for intensive fish farming. After they were designated as a protected landscape element, extensive fish farming was introduced. This enabled the local group to designate the ponds in a natural way and to present them to the public as an example of ecological pond management. An information board on site provides information about this.

Nice little place. Parking situation is a bit inconvenient here, there is the possibility to park at the "Green Tree" or the furniture makers, at least that is what the village community supposedly indicates on the Fuchsau circular path.

A four-story tower building with a half-hipped roof. On the west side of the gate there are two coats of arms from Nuremberg and one from Lauf.
