Landscape & Surroundings The route leads through protected areas of the Swabian Alb Geopark – please observe local regulations. Surrounded by typical Alb vegetation, with views of the Eyach Valley and towards Pfeffingen. Particularly atmospheric at sunrise or in autumn, when the hills glow in warm colors.

Location & Access The heathlands near Albstadt-Lautlingen are located along the Albtrauf (Alb River) and are accessible via well-marked hiking trails. The "Wacholderhöhe" trail is particularly recommended, leading you directly through this landscape – including viewpoints such as the Leimenfels (Leimen Rock) and the Sandlöcher (Sand Holes).
