Lake Sylvia Recreation Area is located in the scenic northeast corner of the Ouachita National Forest, surrounded by beautiful pine and oak-covered mountains. The 18-acre lake is perfect for swimming and fishing, and there is an adjacent campground—ideal for an overnight or weekend stay. The park includes a historic Girl Scout camp built in the late 1930s and trails that connect to the Ouachita National Recreation Trail, providing an opportunity for backpackers to explore this beautiful area. The park offers 14 campsites with water and electricity, seven primitive sites, and two group tent camping areas. Lake Brittany Dam sits on a small, north-flowing tributary to Pinion Hollow and is upstream of Lake Ann. Walk a short way up the Pinion Creek trail to Lake Brittany Dam for great views of the lake and the hills of Bella Vista.

Limestone dam built by the CCC and WPA in the 1930s. The walkway across the dam provides both views of Lake Leatherwood, and into the valley north of the park.
