The Civilian Conservation Corps built the Hopewell Dam in the 1930s, which damns French Creek to create a 68-acre warm-water lake. The fish that call this lake home are bass, panfish, chain pickerel, northern pike, muskellunge, and walleye, and you can find anglers ice fishing in colder months.

This is great, maybe one of the best paved multi use trails I’ve been on. I rode a bike and really enjoyed all the corners and short climbs as the path twisted along Lake Arthur. Road bike friendly, as many trees as there were I was suprised the asphalt wasn’t pushed up by roots at all and the surface was fast. Numerous pavilions, picnic tables, benches, bathrooms and green lawns for breaks.

The Westinghouse Memorial was unveiled in 1930 in honour of George Westinghouse, who founded the Westinghouse Electric Corporation. This memorial includes a pond and a large bronze monument. There is a sculpture of a schoolboy, looking at the 3 panels which depict the life of George Westinghouse. This is a peaceful place to enjoy the park.

Spanning over 500 acres, Harrison Hills Park features hiking trails, wooded areas, and little ponds. The park provides a peaceful setting for nature enthusiasts.

This historic gem, nicknamed "Old Faithful," has stood proudly over the French Creek for over 150 years, captivating locals and visitors alike with its charm and resilience. Cross the bridge and soak in the picturesque views of the French Creek, lush woodlands, and the charming town of Phoenixville.

This spot has a good view of the scenic man-made waterfall created by the dam.

Lake Arthur is in Moraine State Park and is home to warm water fish, frogs, newts, turtles, and water snakes. The Moraine State Park Bike Trail borders its northern shores, making for a nice waterfront ride.

The Hamburg Reservoir is a beautiful lake right off the Appalachian Trail. It is a great place to take a break during your run to enjoy the relaxing surroundings.
