Surrounded by towering peaks, the Sefinen Valley offers an almost untouched alpine landscape. Gentians, alpine roses, and rare orchids thrive here. The Sefine stream meanders through the valley, creating moist soil where mosses and small ferns flourish. Marmots and chamois can be spotted on the slopes, and occasionally a golden eagle circles high above.

A very beautiful route without cars. Only the post office/public bus is allowed to travel here. A suitable gear is recommended, though. There are four or five fountains for refilling water up to Gr. Scheidegg – perfect.

The Kleine Scheidegg train station, located at an altitude of 2,061 meters, is an important hub. It offers spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and serves as a starting point for numerous hikes and ski tours.
