Surrounded by towering peaks, the Sefinen Valley offers an almost untouched alpine landscape. Gentians, alpine roses, and rare orchids thrive here. The Sefine stream meanders through the valley, creating moist soil where mosses and small ferns flourish. Marmots and chamois can be spotted on the slopes, and occasionally a golden eagle circles high above.

A very beautiful route without cars. Only the post office/public bus is allowed to travel here. A suitable gear is recommended, though. There are four or five fountains for refilling water up to Gr. Scheidegg – perfect.

The panoramic trail from the Männlichen station to Kleine Scheidegg is ideal for seeing and photographing the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau from up close.

Transition from the Soustal to the Saxettal. Very nice view on both sides. In summer there is a possibility to eat on the Alp Usserbällen (15min descent into the Saxettal).
