An unobvious fall from the path, looking back as you walk up the path you see it from above.

A good waterfall with a lot of water flowing. From directly on it’s a long view from the path, however you eventually walk up alongside it. The path to it is waymarked from the car park.

There is absolutely nothing at this location, and certainly no bothy, approximately 1mi north from the peak of Derry Cairngorm. The bothy in the photo looks like the Hutchinson Memorial Hut which is about 1mi to the east.

Rough and beautiful, this vastness is impressive... 😊

Early June 2024 I slept here one night after walking the Derry Cairngorn. My Garmin showed 0 degrees the next morning with a perceived temperature of -7! ;-) The next morning I packed up the tent again to do the Ben Macui. The large National Trust car park is about 100m away and has toilets and information boards. The car park is free for National Trust members or £4/day (in 2024) for cars. Overnight parking IS allowed - which is a novelty.

Nice wee walk. The area belongs to the National Trust of Scotland, there is a big car park where you have to pay but you can by card, the toilet is clean. Nice waterfalls around, the path is easy.

The Linn is a popular spot just down from the large Linn of Dee car park. Often people will be down here for a picnic or a swim. The rock pools are interesting, and the bridge across the river Dee is old and picturesque. A path follows the river downstream where you can then take a walk back to the car park on the quiet road.

Departure from the ski station base. 1h35 there and back if you continue. I only walked down, climbed up without stopping. I'm not a young sportsman

Very cosy little bothy with a fire. Often busy, so bring a tent - there are lots of lovely camp spots by the river.

A nice path takes you along this scenic bridge and gorge with wild pools and small waterfalls created by the River Dee. Further down the path you will find some stunning spots to pitch your tent.
