Best bothy in Scotland!

MBA managed bothy. Excellently kitted out.

The Ryvoan Bothy is an authentic and, above all, small bothy. Because it's also relatively close to a large parking lot and visitor center for Glenmore Forest Park, and the path to it is easy to walk and cycle, it's likely to be crowded. Therefore, it wasn't my favorite during my cycling trip through the Cairngorms, but it does offer excellent accommodations with a few sleeping places, a table and chairs, and a stove.

A few years ago, this bothy was a ruin, but it has since been renovated and is now a wonderful place to stay. It has two rooms, one filled with bunk beds, and a stove to keep warm. Just outside the bothy flows the Geldie Burn River, providing fresh water. There's even a newly built toilet block right behind the bothy, courtesy of the MBA and Mar Lodge Estate.

only really fits 2 people but a great one out the way

This is an emergency refuge so it is requested that there are no planned stays here. and its really tiny.. If crossing the Lairig Ghru from the north in the wet seasons then worth making a decision at glen more or linn of dee before committing as it can get a little wet, cold and nerve testing in the colder months if in spate..
