Beautiful mountain lake with many sheep nearby and possibility to bivouac

A very beautiful mountain with views of the more famous Pica d'Estats and Montcalm to the west, as well as a lake plateau and Andorra to the east. The ascent, however, becomes somewhat strenuous in the upper section, with some scree, which is why you're largely alone here. On the ascent, I went around the block to the right just before the summit, instead of going left on the Komoot map (which is how I went on the descent). I found my ascent route more straightforward and easier to navigate. Addendum: The tour I describe here started from the west, from the large parking lot above the reservoir. It's also possible from the hut in the northeast...

A somewhat less frequently climbed mountain. From here, you can reach the border with Andorra via a ridge to the neighboring peak. It's a bit more challenging, though. Warning! Cost trap! Andorra's mobile network is not included in EU roaming.

Path to the waterfall: Nice short route, visually beautiful, mostly through forest, easy level of difficulty. Unfortunately, you can hear the road running parallel on the other side of the river quite loudly. The path ends on a platform above the waterfall. Please note, the outward and return routes are the same; halfway to the waterfall there is a small path that branches off, but it is also a dead end and does not lead down to the water.

This superb trail crosses the high altitude valley of Soulcem in an atmosphere of the steppes of Central Asia. The atmosphere is peaceful and the landscapes magnificent.

Past the Pla de Soulcem dam, you come across the Soulcem stream and its superb valley. The road ends there. If you want to continue exploring, then you will have to trade in the bike for the hiking boots.

About 30 meters down from the viewpoint you can see the river Valira fall into the "Toll Bullidor" ('toll' being Catalan for 'pool' and 'bullidor' for 'boiling'), surrounded by overgrown, green rocks.

The route towards the lakes of Gardelle on the flanks of Pic de Maderous offers beautiful views of the valley and the lake of Soulcem.
