Altena-Hegenscheid Airfield (EDKD) is a small commercial airfield in the Sauerland region, operated by the town of Altena. It is located on the Wixberg hill between Altena and Iserlohn. The airfield is home to the Hegenscheid Air Sports Club and the Altena Hegenscheid Aero Club, among others, which operate glider and motor glider flights. There is also a café for refreshments and a rest stop.

To be enjoyed with caution. The hardest one is for experienced people. Slow down, very rooty and steep. The easiest one encourages you to ride fast, but it's still a bit tricky further down.

The cycle path largely runs parallel to the Baarbach stream. It's the most beautiful connection between Iserlohn and the Ruhr Valley Trail.

The railway line is great to ride on, but make sure you put a bicycle bell on for pedestrians. All the intersections now have stop signs for drivers, so cyclists have the right of way everywhere.
