Always along the creek, almost flat. In winter there was water everywhere, many small tributaries to the stream. Our hiking boots put up with a lot!

From the end of the town of Villigst to the rather unspectacular spring it is about 6 kilometers along the river. The path leads through the elongated valley. It is a good road, some of which runs near the creek and some further away. In at least three places, there are alternatively short paths directly on the stream. From a crossroads, the actual valley becomes somewhat pathless. The only options here are the cross-country route or the detour via Reingsen or east in the direction of the old post road (drive on).

The popular local recreation area around the picturesque Hexenteich invites you to take relaxing walks and adventurous hikes. In an idyllic atmosphere you can unwind and enjoy nature. Those who are particularly attentive on their tour around the pond will not only discover the tall wooden sculptures, the romantic hearts, but with a little luck even red-eared turtles.

The witch pond is small with lots of water lilies. There are very beautiful hiking trails through gorges, but also open paths with a view! There is seating along the hiking trail and tree sculptures to admire. When you go back over the bridge, besides fish, you can also see turtles basking in the sun.

An idyllic place, a small circular route with works of art and with luck you can see the turtles, which someone has probably implemented here.

The Hexenteich is located in a forest above Menden. During the witch hunt in the Middle Ages, innocent women and men who were allegedly convicted of witchcraft were drowned there. Around the Witches' Pond there are tree sculptures that look similar to torture posts. The barbecue hut at the Hexenteich can be rented. It is also very good to hike there.
