Hannekenfähr a nice place to stay

Hanekenfähr is always worth a visit. The old lock is worth seeing. Or you can simply sit at the weir.

Hanekenfähr (older spellings also Hanneken- or Haneckenfähr) is an area on the Ems River between Lingen (Schepsdorf and Darme) and Emsbüren (Elbergen) in the Emsland district. The Ems weir in Hanekenfähr, also called "Waterfall" Until the 19th century, a ferry crossed the Ems at this point.
