When you come out of the town: At the entrance to the Meyerhof in Oestringen, to the left are the meadows up to the Nette. On the right side it climbs quite steeply, somewhere along the way you will see the ruins of the Wittekindsburg.

The anglers sit on the south side of the bridge. The Dümmer circular route also divides on this side for pedestrians and cyclists. Pedestrians can take the beautiful trail closer to the lake by the reeds, cyclists can ride along the edge canal on a paved path. There are always many birds congregating on the edge canal.

Countless hikers and cyclists meet here on weekends and public holidays. Therefore, folks: drive carefully and prudently, so that those on Shank's pony don't lose the joy of hiking. We don't have to break any speed records on these trails. Shift down and admire the impressive bird life.

In the spring of 2023 there is still no sign of a reopening of Knollmeyer's coffee house. The water mill was in action and grinding was also taking place.

The Nettetal to Rulle is passable without any effort and is beautiful.

Most recently, the Knollmeyers Mühle restaurant was closed due to a change of ownership.
