イヘンハウゼンのおすすめウォーキング＆ハイキングルート

The farmstead near Ichenhausen aims to vividly depict daily life in an early Celtic settlement. Reconstructed as closely as possible to archaeological finds by the local cultural and recreational association, the complex includes a herb garden, a storage granary on wooden stilts, a dwelling with clay walls, and a pit house. Medicinal plants served as a home pharmacy, and raised storage areas protected supplies from rodents. The construction methods are also revealing. Timber framing, wattle and daub, and clay allude to techniques later found in half-timbered houses.

イヘンハウゼンのケルテン小道にある墳丘墓は、今日ではほとんど見ることができません。風雨や何世紀にもわたる農業によって、その形は大きく平坦化されました。2500年以上前の墓のいくつかは、道沿いにあります。元々は印象的な土木構造物でした。死者には来世のための贈り物が墓に納められたと考えられています。これまで、イヘンハウゼンの墳丘墓は開かれていません。それらは厳重な文化財保護下にあります。

From the cemetery, the path leads uphill along a ridge – the Celts favored such elevated positions because they could spot potential enemies early. Along the way, it becomes clear how little of their culture remains. Instead of walls or ruins, you encounter field paths, meadows, and inconspicuous landforms where history is hidden. On the large meadow, the burial mounds from the Hallstatt period now appear only as low elevations in the landscape.
