The fieldstone barn in Bollewick is the largest of its kind in Germany and was built in 1881 from approximately 3,000 tons of fieldstone. It originally served as a multifunctional agricultural building with stables, workshops, and storage rooms. During the GDR era, it was converted into a dairy farm for several hundred cows. After reunification, the municipality took over the severely dilapidated building and had it extensively renovated. Today, the fieldstone barn is a vibrant center for art, crafts, and culture. The historic walls house studios, shops, event spaces, restaurants, and a country hotel. It is a successful example of the revitalization of historic buildings and a popular tourist attraction in the region.

Bad Stuer is an idyllically situated village on the southern shore of Lake Plau. First documented in 1289, it was long owned by the noble von Flotow family, who had Stuer Castle built in the Middle Ages, the ruins of which can still be visited today. From 1845 onwards, Bad Stuer developed into a recognized spa resort thanks to the establishment of a hydrotherapy clinic by the naturopath J.H. Rausse. Later, Gustav Bardey took over management and had several villas and spa facilities built, including the Villa Bardey, which still exists today. The town attracted numerous guests at that time, including well-known personalities such as the writer Fritz Reuter. However, with the First World War, spa operations came to a halt, and the inventory was auctioned off in 1923. Today, Bad Stuer is a quiet resort with a historic flair and a starting point for nature experiences around Lake Plau and the nearby bison enclosure. A bike tour is particularly recommended from Plau am See. The route leads through parts of the Nossentiner-Schwinzer Heide Nature Park and offers many opportunities for breaks in the countryside. In Bad Stuer itself, it's worth stopping to visit the old villas, relax on the lakeshore, or take a short detour to the castle ruins.

One of several trail markers in the shape of a large orange "8" directly on the cycle path. Some have a QR code that mobile phone users can use to obtain further information. This section is part of the forest farmers' themed route, which runs through the region around Röbel. The route combines nature experiences with information on sustainable forestry and regional history. With the eye-catching figure eight, forest farmers want to draw attention to the fact that they are climate protectors and, through sustainable forest management, ensure the basis for the climate protection performance of our forests, thus making a decisive contribution to society as a whole.

The district of Bad Stuer with a hydrotherapy facility run by the alternative practitioner (“water doctor”) Heinrich Friedrich Francke (pseudonym: J. H. Rausse) was founded in 1845. While the spa guests were initially treated according to the principles of water healing by Vincenz Prießnitz, the methods of healing treatment later followed the views of Sebastian Kneipp. With the outbreak of the First World War, the spa business gradually came to a standstill and finally ended completely when Russian and French prisoners of war were quartered. In 1923 the inventory was auctioned off and some of the buildings were demolished. (from: Wikipedia on June 28, 2023, https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuer). It's amazing how sloping the terrain is towards the lake. The old villas and buildings are embedded in beautiful, old trees and give an idea of their old splendor.
