A very beautiful castle

Officially, you are not allowed to cycle through the park.

Two large reference areas (tarpaulins on the site fence) on the history of the building are no longer available. There is nowhere a reference to the current ownership or utilization plans. This also applies to the castle park.

The so-called castle belongs to the type of tower villas that were often built in Berlin and Brandenburg around the middle of the 19th century. Built in the style of late classicism, there are numerous models and parallels, especially in Potsdam.

Unfortunately there is no information about the castle, is it privately owned, or is it being open to the public for viewing.

Unfortunately, the castle no longer exists. A small model is on the site. The castle park has been partially restored.

Is still being renovated at the moment and is not accessible. I am curious what will become of it.

Visible from afar is Schöneich's landmark, the former Castle Church (Dorfstraße 38) - actually an early Gothic fieldstone building that was renovated and expanded in 1725 as a Baroque plaster building. A tower was also added and renovated several times (1830, 1879, 1906, 1932 and 1989) - its characteristic is a slight south-west tilt. The superstructure of the tower is made of wood, divided by pilasters and equipped with rich entablature cranked around the dials. The conclusion is a curved hood, which is clad with slate. It carries an octagonal lantern, erected around 1830. Severin Schindler, the owner of the estate at the time, initiated the conversion.
