A beautiful little church and the highlight of Helle.

The eclectic hall church was built in 1913 to replace the dilapidated half-timbered church, designed by Georg Büttner in accordance with the ideas of the Heimat movement, incorporating characteristic Romanesque and Baroque motifs. It consists of a nave, a semicircular choir to the east behind a choir arch, and a church tower at the northwest corner of the nave. The top floor, made of timber framing, houses the bell cage behind the sound arcades designed as bifora. The church tower is capped by an eight-sided, slate-covered, shingled roof. The façade to the west of the nave is topped with a spire gable. The interior is spanned by a segmental-arched, coffered barrel vault. The altarpiece from the previous building, created around 1470, depicting the coronation of Mary, has been preserved.

The Pritzwalker Bismarck Tower is one of approximately 160 towers still standing today, built in memory of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck (1815-1898). It is the only one in the Prignitz region. Even during his lifetime, Bismarck enjoyed considerable veneration in the German Empire, which even extended to kitschy souvenirs. Bismarck towers were built throughout the German Empire, particularly between his death and the First World War. In addition to being a memorial, they were usually also intended as a tourist attraction with a panoramic view. The fashion museum in Meyenburg Castle is a little insider tip! A great collection that goes back to the private collection of Josefine Edle von Krepl and lets you immerse yourself in women's fashion from around 1900 to the 1980s. The collector still leads tours of her collection herself!

Expulsion, flight and new beginnings: From 1936 to 1945, DOBIMAR V. KAMEKE was the head of seed breeding in Streckenthin. On July 20, 1944, he was taken prisoner by Russian troops. He and his colleagues had no way of bringing the valuable potato collection or the seeds to safety for further cultivation. A hastily packed backpack with seeds that was supposed to secure a new beginning was lost during the escape.

Several friends raved about the fashion museum in Meyenburg Castle. During our visit, we were amazed at how many dresses from different periods from 1900 onwards are on display there. It is the former private collection of Josephine Edle von Krepl, a fashion designer from the former GDR, who ran the museum herself from its founding until her 74th birthday. Only about 10% of the collection is shown in the exhibition. We also liked the historical classification and the completion with photos and accessories from the time. We really liked it. Admission 8 euros, photo permission 2 euros. There is also a cute, authentic café with collectible crockery and a registry office in the castle.
