高架橋は通称「ジーベンブリュッケン」と呼ばれています。1877年にバウツェン - ヴィルテン - ノイシュタット/ザクセン間の区間が開通した際に運用が開始されました。 1945年4月に破壊された後、10年後の再建が行われました。

グロースデブシュッツ近郊のシュプレーラートヴェークは、バウツェンの南にある魅力的で起伏のあるルートの一部で、しばしばシュプレー川渓谷ツアー（例：バウツェン-グルプシュッツ-オーバーキュリッヒ）として走られています。このルートはシュプレー川沿いの自然に近い小道を提供しており、バウツェンからの日帰り旅行に最適で、日陰の多い小道が多いです。

A superb and wonderfully developed cycle path from Löbau to Cunnewalde. It winds along fields and through charming, cozy villages. What I found particularly positive was the wide variety of rest areas along the route, ranging from simple benches to rest stops and lovely little huts. I highly recommend this route.

Knowledge creates tradition in Bautzen. Bautzen is now a university town, as the Saxony University of Cooperative Education, with its seven campuses in Bautzen, Breitenbrunn, Dresden, Glauchau, Leipzig, Plauen, and Riesa, merged in 2025 to become the Saxony University of Cooperative Education. On the open house day, there will be an opportunity to climb the tower. Beautiful bike path along the shore. Lake views are only occasionally visible, however. Easy to ride, few rooty hills...

The Steinhaus in Bautzen has been independently run by the Steinhaus e.V. (Stone House) since 1995.
