Please note: The path leading from the northeast past Laubeneck is extremely dangerous and prone to falls when there is snow on the north-facing slope. The Ochsensitz is a nice little stopover on the way to the Ziegelspitz or the Notkarspitze. It's not a true summit, but the spot has a nice large cross.

The hut is closed on Mondays and serves hot meals until 6 p.m. Overnight guests must leave the hut after 11 p.m.
