The construction of the Kropsburg goes back to the Staufer and is dated to around 1200; At that time, a whole ring of castles was built to shield the Reichsburg Trifels, which was about 20 km away. Apart from the touch of history, the castle offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Very nice, definitely worth a detour. Gastronomy is not neglected. You can also enjoy the surroundings with a piece of cake and a cup of coffee on the terrace of the cafeteria.
