It's a long climb, but there's little traffic.

This stele pays tribute to the greatest cycling champion of the 19th century: Eddy Merckx. It stands at the top of the Stockeu. It is included in the course of the Liège-Bastogne-Liège cycling race every year. Eddy Merckx climbed it several times and won Liège-Bastogne-Liège five times.

I didn't know this climb at first but I often saw it in routes of Le Coffee Ride. It is a wonderfully quiet road with a diverse landscape. The first part is open and still friendly but then there is a rake piece in the forest. If you have survived that, it still climbs steadily for a kilometer or two.

You drive out of the, sometimes somewhat busy, village of Trois Points and that goes easily. Then you turn away from the village with a number of bends. It is nice and quiet there, the road surface is fine and the percentages are never too crazy. Nice and pleasant climb!
