The Lampertsbach is a ten-kilometer-long tributary of the Ahr, which rises in the Eifel town of Esch as the Frömmelsbach and is fed on its way into the Ahr by the tributaries Odenbach, Rohrtaler Bach, Mirbach, Wierstaler Bach and Wammesbach.

The extensive Lampertstal valley is always a great destination for a beautiful hike.

The 🍞 Bread Trail is a very beautiful mountain hiking trail with some challenging elevation gains

"The Ahr River rises in the cellar vaults of a half-timbered house dating back to 1726, located in the center of Blankenheim at an altitude of 474 meters. The Ahr spring has made Blankenheim, in the Eifel region of North Rhine-Westphalia, famous far beyond the state's borders. There, the Ahr then flows through the Schwanenweiher pond below Blankenheim Castle. A truly beautiful hike along some very narrow and beautiful paths. The only disappointment is the almost constant audible traffic on the roads, some of which run parallel to the trail, which doesn't really create a sense of pure nature.

Opposite the rest area with photo booth is the beautiful meadow....

Great little trails through the forest. Even today, we were able to enjoy the trail in summer temperatures.

A challenging climb out of the Lampert Valley. Here ends a Stations of the Cross, which presumably started from the church in Aldendorf. Here you can see the last stations.
