It's beautiful there, with a stork's nest on the side of the road, although there is currently still flooding. Otherwise, the Rhine on one side, fields on the other and trees along the paths that provide plenty of shade.

The Rhine ferry Helene is the longest ferry in Germany. It connects Gernsheim in Hesse with Hamm on the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate. Currently, an adult ticket costs €2.
