The beautiful (pedestrian) bridge made of metal struts meanders across the river and provides an impressive photo opportunity. It can be reached after about 2 km on a gravel path from the car park in Tirschenreuth. Right next to it is a table with benches for a picnic and of course you should also visit the "Stairway to Heaven" in the immediate vicinity.

There is a large seating area at the top. The view over the lakes is fantastic. If you are planning a walk here, you should look up.

Curious bridge is a must-see

The Heusterz Bridge is an architectural treat. Built in 2010. And if you don't know, the popular picnic can be delivered here. Find out, it's a lot of fun and, above all, delicious.

The “Himmelsleiter” observation tower, designed by the local architectural firm Brückner & Brückner, is an imposing structure 70 meters long and 20 meters high. From above you can see a sea of colors: red and yellow, green and ocher brown - each pond water glitters in a different tone.

One of the Stiftland's landmarks and an important baroque circular building stands on a hill three kilometers from Waldsassen. This impressive building was built here on the 628 meter high Glasberg by Georg Dientzenhofer between 1685 and 1689. The special architecture and furnishings of the Kappl symbolize the Holy Trinity.

Cheb or Eger in German is a nice little town not far from the border. The old town is beautifully restored and the highlight is the market square. The narrow, narrow alley at the bottom of the square is particularly worth seeing. Otherwise there are all sorts of restaurants and cafes here.
