A peaceful beech and mixed woodland west of Haderslev, Vesterskov offers shaded gravel paths, small ponds and a winding stream that create ideal habitat for roe deer, pheasants and red squirrels.

In this museum, you will find unusual things such as 10-million-year-old whale fossils and the largest shark in the world. And then you can also dig in the clay yourself.

The area is known for its castle, but the forest trails also have their charm.

The Haderslev Dam in southern Denmark is a picturesque body of water that is attractive in every season. Surrounded by green meadows and forests, the dam offers beautiful walking and hiking trails. A trip by boat or canoe is also recommended.

The Hjertesti in Vojens offers a beautiful circular walk through a forest that was planted in 1975 to replace a cleared area. On this barrier-free path, you can discover the history of the forest, admire the 350 oak trees that were planted as part of a Red Cross campaign, and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The start and end point is the Vojens Fritidscenter with parking facilities. Every Friday at 2 p.m. there is a joint hike with the Lokalforeningen Haderslev.
