パンのグループは、ニンフェンブルク城公園の注目すべき彫刻の1つであり、神話、芸術、景観デザインのつながりの美しい例です。この彫刻群は、古代神話で荒野、生命の喜び、そして人間と自然との密接なつながりの象徴とされるギリシャの自然と羊飼いの神パンを表しています。

バートゥンブルクの中心は、印象的で温水プールの内部です。約17メートルの長さで、当時の技術的な傑作であり、貴族の邸宅にある最も初期の屋内プールの一つです。スタッコ、タイル、精巧な装飾による豪華な内装は、今日でも選帝侯の宮廷での贅沢な生活の様子を伝えています。

何世紀にもわたり、大湖の南東端にあるバーデンブルク城は、快適な入浴を楽しむためだけに建てられたヨーロッパ初の壮大な建造物でした。ヨゼフ・エフナーがこの離宮を設計し、1718年から1722年にかけて建設しました。2つの階にまたがる大きなバスルームの他に、舞踏会用のホールと、寝室、書斎、衣装部屋を備えた選帝侯の私室があります。50平方メートル以上、80,000リットルの水を収容できる浴槽は、当時、芸術作品としてだけでなく、技術的な面でも比類のないものでした。

牧神パンは、人工の丘の上に、まるで時が止まったかのように横たわり、今日ではほとんどパンフルートと呼ばれるようになった羊飼いの笛を吹いています。その隣には雄ヤギが横たわり、その音に耳を傾けているようです。ピーター・サイモン・ラミネは1815年にこの彫刻をカララ大理石で作りました。「パンの記念碑」と初期の歴史家たちがこの彫刻群を呼んだように、それは人工の泉を飾っています。それは大湖の水が小さな滝となって北東に流れる悪魔の小川に注ぎ込むものです。

Beautiful castle in Freiham

The castle was built by Joseph Effner from 1718 to 1722. It was the first large building in Europe in centuries that was exclusively used for bathing. One of the first heated indoor swimming pools of its time.

The architect Joseph Effner built the Badenburg between 1718 and 1721 as a pleasure palace for Elector Max Emanuel (r. 1679-1726). In addition to the richly decorated ballroom and a small living apartment, the magnificent bathing hall is the main attraction. The decoration with paintings and stucco takes up the theme of the garden and the water. The bathing palace in the Nymphenburg Palace Park, unique in its form, was often the scene of lavish courtly celebrations.
