The castle has been the backdrop for fairy tale films several times. Among other things, the filming of the film "Six Come Through the World" (1971), "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" (1972) and the Cinderella film adaptation released in 1989 took place here. In 2004 it served as the backdrop for the romantic comedy “A Princess to Fall in Love with”.

A beautiful castle with exhibitions and a beautiful park - even apart from Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella. For many people, Moritzburg Castle is probably a reminder of the film. On the eastern side of the castle you can also find Cinderella's shoe! Due to its central location in the castle pond, you have a great view of the castle from all sides. The reflection of the castle in the castle pond is particularly beautiful. You can admire the reflection until the end of October, when the water is drained and the fishing begins. Incidentally, there is a fish and forest festival at Moritzburg Castle. Every year in winter there is a winter exhibition in the castle called "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella".
