The church of St. Joseph in Trappenkamp was built in 1965-66. The Evangelical Lutheran Peace Church is a modern church building with a 29-meter-high bell tower in Trappenkamp in Schleswig-Holstein. On the day of the laying of the foundation stone on November 7, 1965, the church was given the name Peace Church, which, according to tradition, was chosen because the community of Trappenkamp was created as a result of the Second World War. After the topping-out ceremony on June 16, 1966, the shell was completed. On Pentecost Sunday 1967, the Bishop of Holstein, Friedrich Hübner, inaugurated the new Peace Church. In May 1967, an organ fund was set up, which was able to collect around 15,000 D-Marks in donations by 1970, so that the construction of the new organ could be put out to tender. On December 17, 1972, the new eleven-register organ from Klaus Becker was inaugurated in a church service. During the service on Pentecost Sunday 1985, the bronze crucifix, which cost 20,000 Deutschmarks and was donated by the company Freitag Electronic from Trappenkamp, was inaugurated. The three-and-a-half-meter-high expressionist crucifix weighing around 250 kilograms was cast in the existing mold by the Austrian artist Alexander Silveri (1910-1986). The original, made of cast steel, is located in the Franciscan church in Graz along with other works by the artist. The bells were cast on May 6, 1966 in the Rincker bell and art foundry in Sinn and have the tones a' h' c". The ringing therefore contains a semitone. The three bells were given the following inscriptions: Large bell: "O land, hear the word of the Lord." Middle bell: "Glory to God in the highest and peace on earth." Small bell: "Make peace in your gates." On December 2, 1966, the three new bells were led in a ceremonial procession from the town entrance to the church and installed there.
