Here, a modern tunnel passes under the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Nordbahn railway line, which has run along this stretch since 1875. I had to go through it quite hunched over. So, tall people, watch out! 😉

There are some interesting sculptures surrounding a private building here. It was unclear whether they were open to the public.

From a distance, Grebenstein Castle looks like a massive box atop a steep hill. Essentially, only the ruins of the palace remain of the castle, but these tower high and are surrounded by imposing walls.

Inside the ruins of Grebenstein Castle's palace, you can climb steel stairs along the walls all the way to the top of the ramparts. The view over the town of Grebenstein and the surrounding countryside is beautiful! 👍
