The Fuchsmühle mill near Niedermeiser has a long history, which is explained on an information panel. The buildings have been partially renovated.

Here, a modern tunnel passes under the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Nordbahn railway line, which has run along this stretch since 1875. I had to go through it quite hunched over. So, tall people, watch out! 😉

The historic viaduct from 1847, which carried the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Nordbahn railway until 1875, is a beautiful structure from the early days of railways in Hesse. Definitely worth seeing! 👌

The castle pond lies below Grebenstein Castle and invites visitors to rest. Benches are available.

Below Grebenstein Castle are several former emergency shelters that were built after the destruction of Kassel in World War II. Arnold Bode, the founder of the world-famous documenta art exhibition, also stayed here for a time.
