Finally, cyclists no longer have to ride on the road. From the town center, the bike path is somewhat hidden and barely marked. If you can't find this entrance, you can at least switch to the bike path at the end of the town. After about 1km, you then have a connection to the forest path (which leads almost exclusively downhill) to Marktschorgast, Wirsberg and the steam locomotive museum.

This special natural monument was created thousands of years ago. The Steinach River ate deeper and deeper through an extremely hard volcanic rock, which is called “quartz keratophyre”.
