Fords in the Sunder Forest: Traces of the carriage ride to church. They are still there: washed-out ruts in the forest floor, so-called fords. These mark the old church path from Hagenah to Oldendorf, which ran along this route. It was probably used when the parish of Oldendorf was founded, so for over 1000 years. These traces of the old church path were only rediscovered here in the Sunder Forest a few years ago. When it rains, they are clearly visible as water-filled furrows.

It's absolutely stunning here; the sun should be shining 🌄, and everything is reflected beautifully. Yes, it's a bit old, but you can still get across.

The High Moor near Oldendorf is highly recommended and absolutely beautiful 👍🏼. A hike here is highly recommended. There are plenty of benches for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

A very nice campsite is located here on Krautsand. Just over the dike and you're already at the Elbe River and the beautiful Krautsand beach. There's also a dog beach and a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. A small children's playground and a bistro are available. A large parking area, toilet facilities, and an open-air shower are also provided.

Hammaher See Cycle Path: This cycle and hiking path connects the Hammaher Butterstieg trail through the Hammaher Feldmark area. Starting from Stellberge, it runs for approximately 1 km directly alongside the Hammaher See nature reserve. The highlight of this path is an access route into the nature reserve with a viewing platform extending into the lake and several benches. It's the perfect place to rest and enjoy the scenery during a long bike ride. The captivating view of the lake alone makes this route worth exploring. Many migratory birds can also be found here. Hammaher See is located within a nature reserve. Fishing and swimming are strictly prohibited! Dogs must be kept on a leash!

The Hammah sand extraction area is a 29-hectare artificial body of water officially designated NSG LÜ 085. It lies on the Stader Geest, northeast of Hammah in the Stade district. There are benches for resting and relaxing. A view of the lake and the surrounding nature is highly recommended and beautiful.
