It was one of many mills along this waterway. It was built in the 1830s and was in operation until 1950. Linseed oil was pressed here. After careful restoration, it is fully functional again and now houses a guesthouse.

The church is our listed neoclassical church, consecrated on September 22, 1822, after a construction period of two years. One day later, master organ builder Christian Gottlob Steinmüller handed over the first organ, which was replaced by the current Schmeisser organ in 1912. The idea of building a natural pool came after the war and famine years of World War I. On August 14, 1921, the natural pool was finally opened to the community and its citizens. In 1994, a major renovation took place. The pool complex was completely remodeled and fitted with a modern stainless steel lining. A solar panel system was installed in 1999.
